The Roudabush Survey does not provide a street address, but does mark the general location on the Town of Sterling map; however, that location is not definitive. An intern for the Landmark Society, Luke Nicosia, reviewed the Roudabush Survey street addresses and states an address of 1689 Fintches Corners; however, no documentation is provided to substantiate that address. Richard Palmer in his blog states that the building is now gone. Karen Crandall provides the correct address of 1671 Fintches Corner Rd. based on property records.

Additions to Schmidt's list - On Fintches Corner Road, there is the remains of a house. The owner plans to reconstruct it as soon as possible. The house has quoins constructed of bricks with three rows of stones per quoin. Stones are smoothed and are of various sizes and colors. The mortar has a sharp horizontal edge, while the vertical mortar is embellished slightly between stones. The masonry resembles in much of its detail the house at 14555 Lake St., Fairhaven (Cay-11), which is only 4 miles away, "as the crow flies". It is possible that they were both made by the same mason. Roudabush Survey page 45
Building Details: It was 1 ½ story; 3-bay center entrance, long side faced road; brick quoins, wooden lintels and sills; small water-round multi-everything stones 3/Quion w/V'd horizontals, pyramid or straight verticals. Robert Roudabush photograph Ste_2_5.jpg below shows infrastructure wall was rubble.
Original Owner: Rufus Hartwell (1802-1882), wife Lydia (1804-1872). Subsequent Owners: Unknown. Owner of ruin in 1981: The estate of Robert S. Schumack was sold in 10/1982 to Norman Hickox who razed the house.
